1931

An association old more than 80 years

The memorandum of association of the Cantina Sociale Cooperativa Destra Tagliamento, today Viticoltori Friulani La Delizia, was signed on 7th May 1931. At that time, 70 pioneers decided to join forces to create together a large cooperative. A story that begins at the time of "masari" (landowners), when the wine is still considered money.

2000

Great respect for human and for environment

From 2000 onwards increasing attention is given to the training promotion directed to both the cooperative members and operators, to improve cultivation and processing practices aimed to the full respect for the human and for the environment.

2016

Vini La Delizia’s growth

In the year of the 85th anniversary of its foundation Viticoltori La Delizia doubles its strength with the opening of a new production plant in Orcenico Inferiore – Zoppola. These new plant together with the historical premises in Casarsa della Delizia leads to the consolidation of the biggest winemaking facility of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and one of the largest in Italy. On a floor area of 11.000 square meters, Vini La Delizia is carrying on the vinification of 90.000 hectoliters of Pinot Grigio and Prosecco thanks to a technological and modern winemaking and storage equipment.

1981

New bottling plant for the production of sparkling wines

In 1981 the new sparkling process is inaugurated. Since the ‘90s exports are boosted on the traditional markets of Western Europe, Canada and the U.S. (where, since years 1990/2000, about 60% of the produced wine is exported). During the last decade, Vini La Delizia has also expanded in Russia, China, in the Baltic States and, in general, in the whole Eastern Europe. Today, exports covers 65% of the production.

2013

Investments

To meet the increasing demands of the market, and at the same time to guarantee a quality and safety product for the wine consumer, Cantina Vini La Delizia has made an important purchase: a new bottling machinery that allows to increase its production capacity to reach 10.000 bottles/hour for sparkling wines and 14.000 bottles/hour for still wines, using the latest technical solutions for energy savings, assisted by a sophisticated automatic system control and electronics management.
